A Tale of Two Unofficially Middle School, Officially Highschool Sweethearts

A Tale of Two Unofficially Middle School, Officially Highschool Sweethearts

Here is a Tale of Two Unofficially Middle School, Officially High School Sweethearts. I met Kylie in seventh grade through our mutual friend Colleen. We both loved to sing, and Kylie wanted to make it big singing. So, I became her "manager" and Kylie my "little client" (you should ask me to see the videos of seventh grade Kylie singing...). Kylie and I would talk everyday on Snapchat. I remember one night travelling up to Price Hill Chili with Mom, Dad, and Stewart and telling them about the girl who I was glued to the screen texting. Little did I know this "little client" would be their future daughter in-law and my future bride.

-

Flash forward to 2017. Stewart transfers to Randall K. Cooper High School, and I go with him. Turns out, Kylie was there, too. It was my first year at a public school. I knew no one, but Kylie remembered me and made sure I had a seat at her lunch table everyday. I could tell I was falling in love with her each soft pretzel and sparkling ice we shared, so I conspired with our friends Shannon and Colleen to see whether the feeling was mutual.

-

Both sources confirmed it was. I had to make a move. I asked Kylie to go to IHOP in February of 2018. Not quite a candle-lit steakhouse with bread service, but here I figured out Kylie loves pancakes and sugar makes her SO SLAPHAPPY (picture a Gremlin fed after midnight). It was snowing out and we were both in the coziest corner of the restaurant sipping hot chocolate. After this "date", I knew she was the one.

-

On March 16th, 2018, I invited her out to dinner at Via Vite in Cincinnati with Mom, Dad, Stewart, and Grandma. When I saw her and Dad goofing off leaving stickers underneath the table, I knew she just "clicked" with them. We got back home and I knew it was time to ask her out. We were in my room doing homework and I told her, if she would go out with me, I would do her science project.

She said yes, I did her science project, and I've been with Kylie Renae for seven years. On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, I proposed to the one whom my soul loves - Kylie Renae Callahan.

I could write about you and us and how you've changed me long past whatever word limit this website imposes on me, long past I have breath to share these stories or ears willing to hear them. I've grown up with Kylie, but I can't wait to grow old with her.

-

To my Kyfoo, I can't wait to love you like Christ loved His bride the church and gave Himself for.
